Heather Esparza, M.Ed., BCBA, LBA
Heather Esparza, M.Ed., BCBA, LBA, is the founder of BCBA Connect Consulting, where she partners with behavior analysts, healthcare organizations, schools, and families to strengthen clinical services, develop effective leaders, and improve organizational performance through evidence-based behavioral consultation.
Heather brings a unique blend of educational and clinical leadership experience spanning both public education and applied behavior analysis (ABA). She began her career as an educator, spending six years teaching in both general education and special education classrooms, serving children through age 11. During that time, she worked extensively with students diagnosed with autism and those with emotional and behavioral challenges, including individuals who had experienced trauma. This foundation provided her with a deep understanding of child development, classroom systems, behavior support, and the importance of collaboration between educators, families, and related service providers.
Building on her educational experience, Heather transitioned into the field of behavior analysis, where she has held progressive leadership roles, including Clinical Director. Throughout her career, she has successfully led multidisciplinary teams, supervised and mentored Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), and partnered with organizations to improve the quality and consistency of behavioral services.
Heather's expertise includes clinical program development, treatment planning, staff training, quality assurance, leadership coaching, operational systems, clinic startup support, and organizational growth. She is particularly passionate about developing compassionate, evidence-based systems that empower clinicians, strengthen leadership, and improve outcomes for the individuals and families they serve.
Her consulting philosophy is rooted in collaboration, integrity, and continuous improvement.
